Question 2

What should my child wear to class?

Accepted Answer

We don't have a specific dress code, but your child should wear something they can stretch, jump, roll, flip, and twist in! Avoid loose-fitting clothing. Most students wear a leotard or tight shorts with a tank or t-shirt. If your child has a uniform from a previous TumbleTek Year-End Showcase, it will be perfect for class. We also have unused uniforms from past Showcases available for purchase at a discounted price—just ask at our front desk.

Do I need to have any prior experience to join a tumbling class?

No prior experience is necessary to join our beginning tumbling classes. Our instructors will teach all the basic skills and techniques needed to get started.  Our proprietary curriculum and teaching methods have been designed to help students progress, in a fun and safe way, from the beginner levels all the way up to their full tumbling potential.

What should my child bring to their first class?

Your child just needs comfortable athletic clothing and a positive attitude! We provide all necessary equipment. While some students bring water bottles, they often get lost or create distractions. We suggest using the water fountains provided in our gym.

Question 5

What ages are the beginning tumbling classes for?

Accepted Answer

Beginning tumbling classes are for children ages 3 and up. Our TinyTek program is designed for younger tumblers (pre-school through kindergarten), and our Bronze level classes are designed for first grade and up.  We use age and skill level to group students, ensuring they get the most out of each session. Beginning tumblers age 11 and older are welcome to call us before registering, so our customer service team can help match you to a class where similar aged tumblers are registered.

When are the beginning tumbling classes scheduled?

Beginning tumbling classes are held every weekday-Monday through Friday.  For pre-school through kindergarten, we have morning and afternoon options.  For first grade and older, our beginning tumbling classes are usually scheduled to begin at either 4:00 PM or 5:00 PM.
